With the cancellation of the original Flip or Flop Show comes five new series starting with Bristol and Aubrey Marunde on Flip or Flop Vegas.
Why would HGTV make such a bold decision replacing one show with five new series using the same brand name? It turns out HGTV is consolidating former real estate flipping stars with previous shows and bringing them together under the very successful Flip or Flop Brand.
If headlines are any indication, Tarek and Christina El Moussa don’t seem to be going anywhere. The show’s been a breakout hit that HGTV’s ordered a handful of spinoffs, and first up is Sin City. It features a whole new couple, Bristol and Aubrey Marunde.
The Flip or Flop Vegas starring Bristol and Aubrey Marunde was the first new series that premiered on April 6, 2017, on HGTV. The Marunde’s original series called High Stakes Flippers premiered, and the only episode HGTV ran before pulling the plug.
It was also the same time Tarek, and Christina from the original Flip or Flop knew their show might soon end.
Was this a calculated move to pull High Stakes Flippers off the air after a single episode, and then bring them back to the Flip or Flop Vegas brand name? Why reinvent the wheel, (brand a brand new show), especially if you’re gambling in Las Vegas.
